1. Service Agreement
By scheduling a repair service with More Than a Fix Appliance Repair ("the Company"), you ("the Customer") agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms govern all services provided by the Company unless otherwise specified in writing.
2. Diagnosis and Estimates
- A diagnostic fee will be charged for assessing the appliance. This fee is non-refundable but will be applied toward the total repair cost if the repair is authorized by the Customer.
- Estimates provided for repairs are based on the information available at the time of diagnosis and are subject to change if additional issues are discovered during the repair process.
3. Payment Terms
- Full payment is due upon completion of the repair unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and other approved payment methods. Checks are not accepted unless pre-approved by the Company.
- Unpaid balances may be subject to late fees and collection efforts, including legal action if necessary.
4. Parts and Labor Warranty
- Warranty coverage varies depending on the type of part and the work performed. Specific warranty terms will be provided for each repair at the time of service.
- Warranty coverage excludes:
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized tampering.
- Repairs performed by anyone other than the Company.
- Appliances not maintained according to manufacturer guidelines.
- The Company reserves the right to inspect and validate any warranty claims before providing further service.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours' notice. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee equal to the diagnostic fee.
- The Company reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, such as technician availability or part delays.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Customers must provide accurate information about the appliance, including its make, model, and reported issues.
- The Customer must ensure clear and safe access to the appliance.
- The Company is not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Customer.
7. Liability Limitations
- The Company is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, spoiled food, or additional utility costs.
- The Company is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, structural damage, or defects unrelated to the repair.
8. Non-Repairable Appliances
- If the appliance is deemed non-repairable or if the Customer declines the recommended repair, the diagnostic fee remains non-refundable.
- Customers have the option to purchase a replacement appliance through our preferred partners (if available).
9. Third-Party Warranties
If repairs are covered by a third-party warranty or service plan, the Customer is responsible for obtaining prior authorization and providing the necessary documentation to the Company.
10. Parts Availability
- The Company makes every effort to source parts promptly. However, parts availability is subject to manufacturer inventory and shipping timelines.
- Custom orders or special parts may require a deposit before ordering.
11. Customer Satisfaction
The Company is committed to providing quality service. If you are unsatisfied with the repair, please contact us within 5 business days to address the issue.
12. Force Majeure
The Company is not responsible for delays or failures to perform services due to causes beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, labor strikes, supply chain disruptions, or governmental actions.
13. Privacy Policy
The Company respects your privacy. Personal information provided to the Company is used solely for the purposes of scheduling and completing repairs, and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
14. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which the service is provided. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in that state.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling a service, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions.
